Teenage sensations The Vamps (pictured), featuring Devon's Tristan Evans on drums, Union J (see right), Rizzle Kicks and The Saturdays, will all be taking to the stage on a Westcountry beach next summer at a one-day festival headlined by the inimitable Jessie J.
South West Live, part of a series of one-day festivals, will burst into action on the seafront at Weston-super-Mare on Sunday, June 29. The initial line-up also boasts American singer songwriter Jason Derulo, who will also be jetting in from the States to play one of his only outdoor UK tour dates for 2014. More artists will be added to the bill in the new year. Tickets were on sale from 10am today from uklive.co.uk

If you want to get your festive celebrations off to a wild, soul-fuelled, rock 'n' roll start, look no further than The Computers' home town Christmas ball at Exeter Phoenix on Thursday, December 19, followed by their Disco Sucks club night round the corner at The Cavern. A crazy quiffed, suited and booted bunch, fronted by the high-climbing Screaming Al, the Exeter-born ensemble have just been on tour with Rocket From The Crypt, ending with a spectacular show this week at London's Shepherds Bush Empire. Supports in Exeter include The Heavy Hearted.
