I would just like to warn anyone against booking a wedding at the Hartnoll Hotel, Bolham. They let us down in a big big way by booking all the bedrooms that we had provisionally booked to another large party that are going to a wedding down the road, they then refused to refund our deposit, we went to a solicitor and eventually they agreed if they could rebook the date they'd give it back if they could rebook the date, providing that we didn't go to the small claims court or discuss the matter with our solicitor again and the owner refused to have any further contact with us until they had rebooked it, I contacted them last week as I heard on the grapevine that it had been rebooked but now they will only give us 50% of our deposit back and that is providing we take no further action to recover the remainder... I don't want this to happen to anyone else so spread the word!
Can I just say a big thank you to you all. I recently bboked my daughter's wedding at your beautiful day and it truly was a magical affair. The restaurant was beautiful and our every whim was catered for. Nobody minded the hoards of our screaming kids running around, and the bride and groom were treated like celebs! Keep up the good work!
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was amazing, beautiful bathroom and decor is very stylish. The breakfast was very tasty and the people who work in the hotel are extremely friendly and polite.
I visited the Harnoll for the first time last Wednesday, first impressions were great, beautiful decor, unique furniture and a warm and friendly welcome from the attentive staff. The purpose of my visit was a business lunch on a tight schedule and I'm pleased to say the Hartnoll delivered on all fronts. From the varied and inspiring lunch menu I opted for the brie and cranberry toasted sandwich which was served open with a leafy side salad dressed with a mustard vinegarette. The brie was delightful and melted to perfection, soft and warm without being sloppy.
With attentive but relaxed service from the friendly staff, beautiful decor and food to match, I really could not have asked for anything more from the Hartnoll. The only regret I have is not having enough time to have three courses!
I will definately be returning to the Hartnoll and the next time is likely to be with my wife, for dinner, and I'll be sure to allow enough time to fully enjoy what the Hartnoll restaurant and their menu has to offer!
I stayed at Hartnoll on Tuesday 2nd February for 2 nights. I walked into reception and was greated by Claire (the owner) and Jimmy a miniture Dash hound. It felt warm and welcoming, I checked in and Claire showed me to room 1 which is a mini suite. This room was fantastic the bathroom was amazing and that of any deluxe 5 star hotel, it had double sinks the toilet behind frosted glass cubicle and the bath neatly tucked away with a rain head shower over the bath it had the wow factor. The bedroom was equally as impressive a flat screen TV on the wall and a king size bed that was heaven. All of the furniture was individual and of a very high standard. The restaurant was also fantastic, you must try the Duck Samosa and Wild Mushroom risotto they tasted amazing, I also tried the steak and Chicken Wellington which where also great, the breakfast was really good and realy set me up for the day. The restaurant has a great atmosphere with a mix of local people and hotel residents. The service was fantastic and everyone was so friendly it made me feel home from home. I will be making the Hartnoll my hotel of choice every time I am in the area. I have already recommended the hotel to my colleges.
I would like to say a big thank you to Claire, Nikki and the team for a fab stay.
Conveniently located in Exe valley on the outskirts of Tiverton, this luxury hotel has it all. Sylish, contemporary luxury bedrooms with very good restaurant. There are meeting and conference rooms available. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. The hotel has free wifi and free use of a computer in the sitting room. There is open log fire, terrace for drinks and dining and a beautiful garden, plenty of parking and is only 7 mins from the motorway. There is also a large function room for weddings and functions for up to 90 persons seated. Although luxuriously appointed the hotel is very reasonably priced and is excellent value.
