A horrific attack on a student in Paignton this summer has left him blind in one eye, it has been revealed.
The injuries were originally unknown about the unprovoked attack on the 17 year old on Southfield Road in Paignton on July 16 at 10.30pm.
Now it has become clear that the attack has caused the students retina to detach.
A police spokesman said: "The student has undergone numerous surgical procedures as well as having to wear a silicone prohesis which alters his facial features.
"We are looking for witnesses to this assault. In particular a male taxi driver who witnessed the assault and chased the group".
The three teenage boys police want to speak to in connection with the incident are described as:
- White, late teens of medium build wearing a yellow hooded jumper and denim jeans
- White, late teens of medium build with short gelled spiky blonde hair, blue eyes, wearing a black sweatshirt with a white stripe down the centre of the back. At the time he was wearing a white t-shirt underneath and jeans.
- White, late teens with black hair, white t-shirt jeans and a black belt.
