Fire crews tackle blaze in wood pile

A garage fire at a property on Bodmin Moor was tackled by firefighters early yesterday. Two fire engines from Bodmin, one from St Austell and a water carrier from Wadebridge were sent to the blaze at Millpool, near Cardinham, at 6.30am. Firefighters, some wearing breathing apparatus, used two hose reels and two jets to extinguish the fire, which involved a wood pile and domestic garage. Crews remained at the scene damping down before returning to station.
