Fire crews rescue man from cherry picker

A man stuck eight metres in the air after a cherry picker broke down was rescued by firefighters from North Devon. One engine and the aerial ladder platform from Barnstaple were called to the incident in Rose Lane in the town shortly before 9pm on Sunday. The man was stranded when the cherry picker developed a fault and was unable to descend. Firefighters used the aerial platform to reach the man and bring him to safety.
