A woman collapsed in pain outside her car after a collision in Plymouth.

Police say a gold Vauxhall Corsa and a white Vauxhall Astra collided in Derriford Road heading towards Tavistock at 4pm.

The female driver of the Astra got out of the car in the bus bay and fell to the floor in pain, said police.

A doctor was on the scene and treated the woman until an ambulance arrived.

The woman, aged in her 20s, is believed to have suffered neck and back injuries.

The driver of the Corsa was not injured.

The road was only partially blocked.
