A woman was shoved to the ground and had her handbag stolen while walking through Bridgwater. The victim, who was in her 30s, was walking along the footpath on Piggy Lane on the Sydenham Estate when she was pushed from behind and fell to the ground. Her bag was then grabbed by someone who rode off on a black and white mountain bike. The thief was described as having skinny, long legs and wearing faded blue jeans and white trainers. Avon and Somerset Police, who have just released details of the incident, say it occurred between 9am and 9.30am on Thursday, October 25.
