Villagers to discuss 250ft turbine plan in South East Cornwall

Comments (1)

Plans for a controversial 77-metre (252ft) wind turbine in South East Cornwall will be debated at a public meeting tonight.

Capture Energy Limited, based at Pool, near Redruth, wants to build the huge, single turbine on land at Tremaine Farm, between Lanreath and Pelynt. Objections have already been raised on Cornwall Council's website.

Neighbour Penny Spreckley said: "It will completely dominate the area, have a detrimental impact on the surrounding villages, be harmful to tourism and a huge distraction to traffic.
