Police have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with an attempted theft of video games from a Plymouth superstore.

A man went into Tesco at Roborough around 3pm on Sunday August 12 and loaded around a dozen PS3 games into a bag.

He tried to leave the shop but set off the alarm at the exit.

He fled the scene without the games after being approached by a security officer.

Police are now appealing to anyone with information about the attempted theft or anyone who may recognise the man in the photograph to contact them.

The suspect is described as early 30s with dark hair; he was wearing a dark grey top and white trousers.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting crime reference EL/12/3632.
