EVER wondered what happens when you place liquid nitrogen in a sealed container, cover it in 1,500 ping pong balls and heat it up?

Dr Roy Lowry at Plymouth University demonstrates the dramatic result in a new video.

Dr Lowry is an associate professor in the university's Faculty of Science and Technology.

He is no stranger to online video science, having uploaded videos of test-tube detonation of a jelly baby, and simultaneously lighting 55,000 fireworks.
