WAIT for it: This video captures some of the fierce waves to pound Cornwall on Saturday. Watch out for the giant waves striking the headland behind Sennen Cove.

There is also footage below of the water flooding into St Ives at high tide.

The first video was shot on Saturday, facing into the storm. The Seven Stones Buoy, out west from Land’s End, was recording a swell of 29.9 feet passing every 12 seconds during the afternoon.

Footage by Phil Monckton.

Meanwhile, the tide flooded into St Ives on Saturday night. One house on the water front was inundated as water poured in through the windows.

An elderly woman was injured by the force of the water and treated by paramedics.
