UPDATE: The Highways Agency is reporting delays eastbound on the A30 near to Bodmin in Cornwall due to heavy traffic.

Drivers can expect delays of 15 minutes due to heavy traffic with normal conditions expected to resume at 12.30pm. The westbound carriageway is flowing freely.

On the A35 eastbound in Dorset there are also delays due to sheer volume of traffic.

The big summer getaway is officially over - on the region's roads at least.

For the first Saturday morning in months, traffic is flowing freely west and east bound on the A30, the A38 and the A303.

The Highways Agency has also reported that north and south bound traffic on the M5 between Bristol and Exeter is flowing freely.

The only delays in the broader South West region are on the M4, eastbound between junction 18 and 19 near Bristol, where traffic is being diverted round a multi vehicle accident.
