Police are hunting for burglars who broke into a Devon primary school.

The offenders entered sheds at Hazeldown Primary School in Teignmouth on Tuesday last week, officers revealed yesterday.

They stole two leaf blowers and three petrol cans from two sheds in the school grounds.

The leaf blowers both had black handles and a white motor section with an orange-coloured patch. The petrol cans were green, red and grey.

Police are appealing for information about the break-in which happened sometime between 8.30pm on December 4 and 7.30am the next day.

They are particularly keen to speak to anyone who saw a white van going into the school grounds just after midnight. Anyone with information about the break-in or the van, please contact police on 101, quoting reference JG/12/2114.
