Teenager injured in town centre attack

A teenager was left with serious facial injuries following a late-night attack in Newton Abbot. The 19-year-old man from Bovey Tracey suffered a fractured cheek bone when he was assaulted on The Avenue near the town centre in the early hours on November 25. He was taken to hospital where he was given stitches for lacerations to his face. The victim had visited Ali's Kebab take away on the street and was walking towards the town centre with friends when they were approached by a group of men. Another 19-year-old man and a 23-year-old man also suffered less serious injuries.
