Surfer who got in difficulty at Saunton is rescued by a fellow surfer

A surfer was helped to shore by another surfer after getting into difficulty at Saunton this morning.

Coastguards were alerted at around 9.55am after receiving calls saying the surfer was in difficulty.

The Appledore inshore lifeboat was called out but was stood down at 10.15am after another surfer came to his aid.
