'Staffy attack' leaves victim with broken nose and cuts, man arrested

An assault which left a man with a broken nose and cuts to his face is being investigated by police.

A 35-year-old man was attacked while with a black ‘staffy’ dog at around 12.30pm on Friday, April 11, in Normandy Close in Exmouth.

Police say the local victim and suspect were known to each other.

The victim suffered a broken nose and lacerations to his face in the assault.

Police are now appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident to please contact them.

The victim is described as about 5ft 9ins tall, of medium build with short, brown hair.

The suspect is about 6ft tall, of skinny build, wearing a T-shirt and black tracksuit bottoms.

A 21-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of assault and released on police bail until June 10.
