Improvements to South Molton's livestock market which started in October are now finished.
Works to repaint the market, replace its roof and improve disabled access have been undertaken by North Devon Council.
The first phase of improvements began two years ago with the replacement of the asbestos penning shed and work since has included replacing roof cladding, installation of a disabled toilet and updating the electrics and hot water system.
Executive Member for Economic Regeneration, Councillor Malcolm Prowse, says: "I'm pleased to say that this project has been completed on time and within budget. It was very important to keep the market open while these essential works were carried out and feedback from the market users has so far been very favourable."
