Five commemorative benches put in place to remember members of a cricket club have been destroyed in an act of "mindless vandalism". Camborne Cricket Club estimates it will cost around £1,000 to replace the benches which were erected overlooking the site in mid 1930s. Club secretary Clive Kenyon said: "They have been broken beyond repair. "The wooden struts were broken as were the concrete blocks they were mounted on. Then the wood was thrown on to the pitch."
