Volunteers are needed to marshal a festive fundraiser in Cornwall which sees people dressed as Father Christmas running a two-kilometre route.

The helpers will be at key points along the route of the Children's Hospice South West (CHSW) Santas On The Run event in Launceston, on Sunday.

It is the first time the sponsored run has been held in Launceston and has already attracted 150 Santas.

Sarah Stott, events fundraiser for CHSW, said: "If you would like to be involved in the event but don't fancy donning the Santa suit and running the 2km yourself, then why not help make this event happen and be a marshal instead?"

Marshals need to contact CHSW's Little Harbour hospice in advance and be registered and ready by 11am on the day. The run starts at noon and is expected to be finished by 1pm.

To volunteer, call Little Harbour on 01726 871800 or e-mail sarah.stott@chsw.org.uk.
