An unseaworthy ship is still being moored in Ilfracombe harbour until it is able to be repaired.
The MV Sarah was detained in Ilfracombe back in July after it got into trouble off the North Devon coast.
Ilfracombe town councillor Bert Gear said at the time that he could see the vessel being abandoned by its owners and sitting in the harbour for months on end.
And indeed the Sarah is yet to be moved as there remains a detention notice on it because the owners have not completed the necessary repairs.
The Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) said at the time that the vessel had a rotten structure and was thought to be leaking diesel.
Mr Gear said: "I am not very happy it is still there. I have not seen anybody doing any work on it.
"I was proved right as it is still there. I am sure it will get sorted because with pollution they cannot leave it there."
Harbourmaster Rob Lawson said the boat has been secured to avoid any pollution.
He said: "Obviously back in the early stages we were really worried about her potential for pollution but we have ensured that the owner has removed all the drums of oil and pumped out its fuel tanks."
If insurance is not approved and the boat cannot be repaired Mr Lawson said the boat may be taken around to Appledore to be broken up.
