Redruth-based Frame UK has played host to a fact-finding mission by undergraduates studying at the University of Exeter in Penryn.

The business which manufactures timber-frame housing for the self-build market, welcomed the third-year renewable energy engineering students, who visited its site as part of a sustainable architecture project within their course.

Renewable Energy lecturer Dr Adam Feldman said: “The students’ project is to design a truly sustainable, beautiful, healthy and enjoyable domestic family house which could occupy a real building plot in the village of Malpas south of Truro.”

Frame UK supplies its thermally efficient, sustainable timber framed buildings to a UK-wide customer base.
