Police to continue drugs crackdown

South Hams police say operations will continue to crack down on drugs in pubs by carrying out random tests using specially trained dogs. Officers have already made unannounced visits to pubs in Totnes and Dartmouth, with the full support of the licensees. The operation resulted in a number of searches and one individual was issued with a warning for cannabis. Inspector Andy Tomlinson said "The message is clear. We will not tolerate the illegal use of drugs in our area."
