Police are appealing for witnesses after a crash near Tavistock, West Devon, in which a 74-year-old man suffered chest injuries.

The man, from Gunnislake in South East Cornwall, was hurt when his silver Lexus car was in collision with a South West Highways truck on the B3257 at the junction with Morwellham Quay.

The accident happened at about 4.30pm last Friday.

The pensioner is in a stable condition in Plymouth's Derriford Hospital.

Crash investigators have already identified some witnesses, but are keen to hear from anyone else who saw it, by calling 101.
