Around 50 farmers showcased traditional agricultural skills at a ploughing match which proved popular with spectators.
The working relationship between man and horse was on display when three pairs of horses worked the fields, while some entrants used tractors in the Cheriton Fitzpaine and District annual competition, held in a field near Crediton.
Organiser Sandra Turner said the event on Sunday was well supported. She said: "We have a great location up here, so half of Crediton has turned out, which is brilliant. We've had some really strong ploughing entries, and also into our produce, craft and baking displays. It has been a fantastic celebration of rural life."
