Quirky and flamboyant singer songwriter Paloma Faith has announced a show at Plymouth Pavilions on Saturday, November 8 as part of her autumn UK tour.

Alongside favourites from her first two albums – like New York and Picking Up the Pieces – Paloma will be airing tracks from her latest long player, A Perfect Contradiction, which shot straight to number two on release last month, and it remains in the top ten.

A feast of soul, pop and disco-infused numbers with love and heartache on the agenda, they make the best of the 32-year-old Londoner’s husky tones and broad range and have their feet firmly planted in the 1960s, 70s and 80s. Tracks include Paloma’s forthcoming single Only Love Can Hurt Like This, released on May 12 – a big, brassy doo-wop pop ballad.

Vampish make-up, big hair, fancy hats, stunning custom-made outfits and elaborate stage sets are the trademarks of this queen of reinvention, and she will doubtless thrill her audience with fancy new creations when she makes a welcome return to Plymouth, where she staged her last Westcountry performance in February 2013. Tickets go on sale on Friday, April 4.
