Owners urged to keep mopeds locked up

Police in Plymouth have warned owners of mopeds and scooters to take extra care after a spate of thefts across the city. There have been 26 recorded thefts of motorcycles in the last month, with vehicles taken from residential areas and car parks during the day and night. Police advise owners to use a good quality bike lock and always to leave their vehicle in well-lit areas. A police spokesman said: "We're keen to catch whoever is doing this and we're going to need the public's help in keeping their eyes open and reporting suspicious activity around these bikes."
