The show season just keeps getting better for Shetland breeders and producers, David Hodge and Julian Walters who saw their prolific winning mare, Schivas Kerry take the Shetland championship at Bucks County show, making it her 11th major championship win of the season. David and Julian, who run the successful Sharptor stud in Okehampton, also took the reserve championship with their home-bred Sharptor Ursula. "It meant both were eligible for the Mountain & Moorland championship and they went on to stand overall champion and reserve which was great achievement for two Shetlands," said David who noted that the team also won the NPS Kilmannan stud Gold medal rosette for the overall M&M in-hand champion with Schivas Kirsty (a full sister to Kerry) at the NPS summer Championships. The stud's stallion Sharptor Laser Red has also gained his HOYS M&M Open ridden ticket at Ponies UK.
