Three Canadian stand-up comedians perform their hilarious 2012 Edinburgh Festival show at the Queen's Theatre, Barnstaple, tonight and Exeter Corn Exchange tomorrow. Between them they have appeared on numerous TV comedy shows including: Mock The Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats and Live At The Apollo. Stewart Francis is outstanding in his field of killer one-liners; Craig Campbell is a formidable stand-up who has toured with Frankie Boyle, and Glenn Wool is at the top of his game right now with a burgeoning list of television credits.
Music workshop offers support for young hopefuls
If you are an aspiring singer or musician aged between 12 and 16, you will not want to miss Soundlaunch at the Flavel, Dartmouth, on Friday, May 31. Soundlaunch is a one-day workshop for young artists who love performing or song-writing. The day will consist of a series of inspirational sessions beginning with an improvised acoustic warm-up jam, moving on to vocal techniques, singing tips, song-writing skills, performance style and stage presence. Founded in 2010 by musician Kate Graham, and supported by music industry professionals, the aim of Soundlaunch is to help develop and promote young musicians.
