Just received the latest copy of Wild Cornwall and Wild Scilly from the Wildlife Trusts and it seems to improve with every issue.

If you are truly interested in the wildlife of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly call 01872-273939 and join. You won’t regret it. Much to do for adults and children and I’m sure Devon and Somerset are working equally hard for wildlife.

The trust is combining its AGM this year with Discovery Day 2014, to be held at Penwith College, St Clare Street, Penzance on November 8. It will be a day of exciting and informative talks, to learn more about the new nature reserves, Bostraze Bog and Bartinney Downs.

There will be talk on the geological history of Land’s End and the discovery of a 4,000 year old submerged forest.

The booking fee of £15 includes lunch, tea and coffee. Book online at www.cornwallwildlifetrust.org.uk/agm.

The diary from August to November is packed with 70 events, including nature photography, public sea watches, evening boat trip safari, butterfly and moth identification Sadly The Wild Scilly part of the magazine disappears with this issue.
