"I have always had an interest in hairdressing. My first job was a salon junior at 14 and that inspired me to pursue hairdressing further.

I joined City College when I was 17 years old and to date have completed level 2 and 3 qualifications in hairdressing, and am currently working towards achieving an Advanced Apprenticeship.

The college has really helped me pursue my dreams and supported me in every step of my studies. It is a great place to study hairdressing as we have a commercial salon that helps students gain confidence in how the salon industry works.

I have been very fortunate to have been able to study here and get an apprenticeship at Stars Hair and Day Spa in Devonport where I have recently been promoted to Senior Stylist.

I absolutely love working in Stars. I have gained a clientele while working here and have a good knowledge and understanding of both the practical and theoretical side of hairdressing.

After completing my apprenticeship I would love to move to London for a year or two to work in a high-end salon to gain more experience and learn about the latest trends.

I would also like to work on cruise ships in the future. "
