Exeter Phoenix's Two Short Nights Film Festival next week is packed with mini movie masterpieces – all of them just a few minutes long.

On Thursday and Friday, film lovers can watch screenings of newly commissioned shorts, international shorts, films that have been made in only 48 hours, as well as attending seminars giving insights into the film industry and the possibilities of crowdfunding. The festival culminates with the premiere of six short films commissioned by Exeter Phoenix Digital including four from Devon – Ahshi, The Grendel Toots, Gnomeland and the Old, Grey, Fast – alongside Birdwatching and Host Familie, which is unique as the first short film to be commissioned by Exeter Phoenix Digital if it matched fundraising through crowdfunding.
