A man who was arrested after a ram-raid at a post office in Totnes has been bailed until March.
Police were called to the post office in Bridgetown where a four-wheel drive vehicle had smashed through the window at 5.20am on Christmas Day.
The suspects tried to steal the cash machine inside but left empty-handed.
A second vehicle drove from the scene, crashing in Totnes Road – two people inside ran off.
The third, a 25-year-old man, was trapped and released by firefighters. He was arrested and taken to hospital.
