A 23-year-old has denied going to two different hotels, a restaurant and a takeaway in the Bideford area on two different days and making off without paying for food and drinks totalling over £330.
Loui Guinan, of Tower Street, Bideford appeared before North Devon Magistrates' Court on Friday charged with six different offences but he denied them all.
He is accused of going to Riversford Hotel, in Northam on February 10 and spending £63.90 before walking out without paying, going to Durrant House Hotel, in Northam, and spending £16.95 without paying and going to the Paramount Chinese restaurant in Bideford and spending £178.50 before walking out without paying.
On February 19 Guinan is then alleged to have gone to Sagor tandoori takeaway, in Bideford, before leaving without paying his total bill of £68.
He is also accused of stealing a mobile phone from John Evans worth £100 on February 13 as well as stealing a mobile phone from Nicola King also worth £100.
Now the defendant has pleaded not guilty the case has been listed for trial. Guinan elected for a crown court trial. A committal hearing is due to take place at North Devon Magistrates' Court to set a trial date on May 28.
