Lorry driver killed after crash on the M4

The 62-year-old lorry driver was killed when his vehilce left the M4 in Wiltshire this morning

A 62-year-old from Cornwall has died after the lorry he was driving veered off the M4 and careered in to a ditch.

The man, from St Breward, was pronounced dead at the scene after his vehicle which was carrying hay, left the motorway near Leigh Delamere services between Chippenham and Bath at around 7am.

Part of the motorway was closed after the incident while police carried out an investigation and recovered the lorry.

Wiltshire Police later confirmed no other vehicles were involved.
