Lawyer retires after 48-year career in city

An Exeter lawyer is retiring after 48 years of practising in the city.

Brian Homeyard, senior trust manager on Stones Solicitors' private client team joined Cann and Hallett in 1964, before it merged with Burd Pearce, which in turn was acquired by Stones in 1999.

Helen Honeyball, partner and head of Stones' private client team said: "Brian has been an invaluable member of our team and a well-respected individual within the firm, and with our clients and other professional colleagues.We wish him all the very best."
