Following a successful summer run with Steptoe & Son at the Asylum, Kneehigh Theatre are embarking on a series of rambles.
Actors Giles King (pictured), Sarah Wright and Simon Harvey will visit village halls around Cornwall next month with a new show of stories by Anna Maria Murphy. Kneehigh Rambles evolved from a series of pop-up performances this year, as part of a scheme to engage creatively with communities.
Communications coordinator Chloe Rickard said: "Audiences can expect the cosmos, an amorous conger eel, exquisite puppetry, a miniature circus, a talking handbag, live music and conversations with crabs in an evening of rambling entertainment in which they'll never guess what comes next."
The show opens at Wadebridge Town Hall on October 6 and continues atMaker and Rame Community Hall (Oct 7), Acorn in Penzance (Oct 11 and 12), St Keverne Parish Hall (Oct 13), Carleen Village Hall (Oct 14), Performance Centre, University College Falmouth (Oct 24), Mevagissey Jubilee Hall (Oct 25), Heartlands in Pool (Oct 26), Grampound Community Hall (Oct 27), Devoran Village Hall (Oct 28).
