Picturesque occasional venues that are off the beaten track are all the rage these days. Next weekend Cornish songstress Kezia (pictured left) is celebrating Christmas in country style with an intimate show at a designer barn near the Atlantic coast at Crackington Haven.
Mulled wine, hot chocolate and candlelight promise to add to the seasonal atmosphere at this organic eco farm nestled in the wilds of North Cornwall.
Dulcet-toned Kezia, a shy maid from Camborne, has had a busy year with a long list of festivals, support slots and gigs around the UK. Stand-out moments have been performing at the annual Kernow in the City event in London, a successful tour of the Netherlands including Bruis Fest in Maastricht, and supporting The Proclaimers on Lusty Glaze beach.
The winter months will see Kezia back in the studio with renowned producer John Cornfield to record a second EP for release early in 2014. She's planning a UK tour to coincide with the release.
Support at the Christmas show comes from Debbie Kate, an Irish- born singer songwriter who is now a Cornwall resident.
Christmas with Kezia takes place at 7.30pm on Friday, December 13 at Wooda Farm, Crackington Haven. Tickets are £12.50, to include a glass of mulled wine or a hot chocolate. Visit eventbrite.co.uk/e/christmas- with-kezia-tickets-7865486883 to book.
