A man's body has been found in the River Exe in Exeter. Emergency services were called to the scene near the Tally Ho Inn pub yesterday around noon, after a group of kayakers discovered the body. Ambulance staff attended but the man was declared dead at the scene. His body was recovered by the fire service. The man, who is yet to be formally identified, is thought to be local and the death is not being treated as suspicious. Last week a man whose body had been discovered on the River Exe banks almost seven months ago was identified as 67-year-old Clifford John Thorne.
