A STABLE block and a vehicle were destroyed in a fire in a quiet Dartmoor village feared to have been started by arsonists.

Two horses had to be rescued from the early-hours blaze in Collard Lane, Wotter, happened shortly before 7am this morning.

Firefighters from Crownhill and Plympton were sent to the scene at around 6.40am.

They found a double wooden stable block on fire, along with a vehicle.

The horses had already been rescued by the time firefighters arrived.

Crews used two hose reel jets and said both the stables and the vehicle were "severely damaged" in the incident.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said the fire was "believed to be deliberate".

Police and fire investigation officers remained at the scene throughout the morning.

Anyone with information about the incident should contact police on 101, quoting crime reference number JI/14/211.

The people who, presumably, get paid for administration of this website are even bigger frauds than the scammer below. I think there are now more scammers posting than genuine readers. What do the useless idiots do about it? NOTHING. A total disgrace.
