Access to a number of holiday homes near Plymouth has been cut off after a section of coastal path was declared dangerous and closed this weekend.
A stretch of path near Tregonhawke, Whitsand, was closed over the weekend and will stay closed for at least six months.
The route was closed after a landslip, and if the coastal area does not stabilise it will have to stay closed permanently.
As well as being popular with walkers, the path is the only access route to a number of holidayhomes.
The land is part of the Mount Edgcumbe estate, managed by Plymouth City Council and Cornwall County Council.
Walking diversions and alternate access are being set up.
