Lands End Airport will remain closed until at least Thursday due to heavy rain.
The Isles of Scilly Steamship Company said today that there had been an airfield inspection this morning.
With heavy rain over the weekend, the airport will remain closed for passenger flights up to and including Thursday January 16.
As a result all Skybus flights will operate between Newquay Cornwall Airport and the Isles of Scilly during this period.
A spokesman for the firm said all passengers due to travel to or from Land’s End during this period will be contacted by Skybus and advised of their new arrangements.
A further airfield inspection will take place on Thursday, at which point a decision will be made regarding operating flights from Land’s End Airport for the rest of the week.
The company issued an apology for the disruption caused by the decision.
