TV presenter James May has been spotted in Ilfracombe this afternoon.
The floppy haired Top Gear presenter is rumoured to be in the area filming a third series of James May's Toy Stories.
Although it is unclear what challenge 'Captain Slow' is taking on this time several helicopters have been seen in the area and a photo on Facebook taken by a member of the public appears to show a model plane with James May's likeness sat inside it.
Ilfracombe RNLI posted the above picture on their Facebook page with the caption: "We may have a new crew member!"
Others took to Twitter to share news of the celebrity sighting.
Earlier today, @That’s50pSaved wrote on the social-networking site: “Lots of helicopter action opposite my house in #Ilfracombe. James May and TV crew playing silly buggers – Keep the noise down James!”
And @marktoleman said: “James May is down on Ilfracombe pier, why on Earth anyone would go there is beyond me. Perhaps he likes being attacked by seagulls.”
Just over a year ago the presenter visited North Devon to film a model train race between Bideford and Barnstaple and a year before that he took part in another similar event.
On the first occasion the race was abandoned after wet weather, vandalism and technical issues made it impossible for the train to run along the line without frequent interruptions.
