A two-car collision left a fuel spillage outside a Cornish supermarket today.

Fire crews and police were called to Tavistock Road in Callington at 4:25pm after reports of a crash.

A Citroen Saxo and a Peugeot minibus collided 400 yards from the Tesco supermarket in the town, say police.

The collision was described by police as a "shunt" and one car leaked fuel onto the road.

Firefighters are at the scene and the road is closed between the A390 at Southern Road and the A388 Fore Street.
