Plymouth Argyle's experienced midfielder Paul Wotton has stepped up his recovery from a back operation.
Wotton, 35, started running this week and is targeting a return to action by the middle of December. He has not played for the Pilgrims since the 3-1 home defeat by Port Vale on September 15.
Argyle manager Carl Fletcher praised the way Wotton, who had a nerve problem in his back, has gone about his rehabilitation.
"He started running this week and we will build it up slowly," said Fletcher. "I think with backs you have got to be careful with them. Paul is very professional in the way he looks after himself. It's probably why his career has kept going for as long as it has.
"He's focused on what he needs to do, whether it's eating the right things or doing the right stretches and rehab. We will keep an eye on how he goes."
Meanwhile, Fletcher has been pleased with the progress of 19-year-old defender Curtis Nelson this season.
Nelson started the campaign playing at right-back because of an injury to Durrell Berry but has played in the centre of defence over recent weeks.
He was selected ahead of Maxime Blanchard, Argyle's 2011-12 player of the year, for the 2-2 draw against Gillingham at Home Park last Saturday.
He is set to retain his place for the Pilgrims' trip to Fleetwood Town in League Two today (3pm).
Fletcher said: "Nelse is willing to learn, which is the pleasing thing.
"He's so athletic and strong and good in the air. It's just making sure he does the things he's good at really well.
"Then everything else will take care of itself," added the Pilgrims boss.
Meanwhile, tickets for Argyle's away game against Exeter City at St James' Park on Saturday, December 15 (12 noon) go on sale to full club members on Monday.
The Pilgrims have been allocated 1,300 tickets for the much-anticipated Devon derby. Tickets are limited to one per person, initially to full club members.
Subject to availability, remaining tickets will then be released on a phased basis for White and Pilgrim members.
Seat tickets cost £24 for adults, £18 for over-65s, £9 for under-18s and students, and £5 for under-12s. On the terrace, it is £19, £14, £7 and £4 respectively.
Tickets will be available to green plus, family plus, junior, and business/professional members from 9am on Monday.
Subject to availability, tickets will go on sale to White members on November 26, and to Pilgrim members on November 28.
Argyle under-18s' match against Torquay today will, subject to Football League approval, be postponed because Elburton Villa's Haye Road pitch is unplayable.
Argyle Legends will play their first match in four months when they take on Weston Mill Vets. The kick-off at Weston Mill is 2pm.
