Families with disabled children in the South West will be able to get more help and support following the expansion of a national service.
Caudwell Children's Family Support service is now available to families in the Exeter region and will soon expand to cover the rest of the south west of England.
The service offers home visits and activities designed to support the families of disabled children by giving them the practical and emotional help they need to cope with the pressures of full-time care. It is being delivered by national charity Caudwell Children following a successful roll-out across the country.
The charity has been providing support for disabled children and their families for over 13 years. It values the one-to-one service as the most effective way to help families at times of crisis.
Steve Jackson, family services manager, said: "I'm delighted to be launching such an important service across the South West."
