The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales has warned that employers face "huge" changes to the PAYE tax system, with HMRC's introduction of a new Real Time Information facility next year. The change is being introduced to coincide with the launch of the new universal credit state benefit, to reflect 'real time' earnings. Firms will be required to report to HMRC every time they run their payroll, rather than once a year as they do now. Paul Aplin, tax partner at Taunton-based accountants AC Mole & Sons and chairman of the ICAEW's tax faculty technical committee said: "All employers will have to move to RTI between April and October 2013. Employers should check that they have full details of all their employees."
