Fingle Glen Golf Hotel is set in beautiful countryside near Tedburn St Mary in Devon. As well as providing first-class golf to its many members and golf enthusiasts, the hotel is rapidly acquiring quite a reputation for excellent food and drink too.

The good news is you don't have to be a member to enjoy the tasty and very reasonably-priced food available here.

In fact, you don't even have to play a round of golf first either, before tucking into some properly home-cooked treats.

For the summer, the alfresco area at the hotel has been completely revamped and now offers plenty of space and comfort to enjoy the lovely views and fresh air, with outdoor heaters to keep you warm and cosy at all times.

The bar menu is packed with good, honest and delicious dishes, with all main courses priced at well under £10 each. For meat-lovers, there's a homemade burger with onion marmalade (£8.50) or a steak sandwich with homemade baguette (£9.25). If fish is your thing, then the fish and chips here cannot be bettered. Fresh Brixham-landed cod is beer battered and served with excellent chips for just £9.50.

In the evenings, the restaurant offers a more formal menu that is, once again, great value for money.

A whole fresh lemon sole from Brixham, cooked simply in butter and served with new potatoes and salad is £12.95. The puddings here are legendarily good, just £4.50 apiece and all homemade by the talented chefs.

Choose between tiramisu, chocolate tart, bread and butter pudding and many more.

All in all, it's no wonder that so many couples choose to have their weddings at Fingle Glen. The wedding co-ordinator team has been working together here for 15 years. They really know exactly what to do to make every wedding a success. Fingle Glen can host an intimate celebration for 35 right up to a sit-down banquet for 160 people.
