A 54-year-old woman was airlifted to hospital yesterday afternoon after her car crashed and rolled into a field.

The driver had to be freed from her wrecked Mitsubishi by paramedics and firefighters after the incident on the A386 near Little Torrington, North Devon, shortly before 1pm.
