THE REGIONAL manager of a double-glazing company has appeared in court accused of plotting to defraud his employers.

David Hartley, aged 66, faced Plymouth magistrates alongside two other men charged with abusing their position by conspiring to commit fraud against Solaglas. The offence is said to have happened between February 2007 and May last year at the firm's branch in Cot Hill Close, Plympton.

Hartley, of Manilla Place, Weston-Super-Mare, allegedly conspired with Shaun Hosier, aged 41, of Orchard Close, Felton, in Bristol and Terry Hosier, of Courtlands Lane, Bower Ashton in Bristol.

All three were told that the case was so serious it had to be sent directly to Plymouth Crown Court.

They were released on unconditional bail to appear before a judge on April 18.
