Ryan Richards scored the only goal of the game as Tiverton Town recorded their sixth straight win away at Didcot Town on Saturday.

The victory lifted Tivvy up to seventh in the Calor League Southern Division One South & West table ahead of a crunch match with fourth-placed Paulton Rovers on Tuesday night.

Richards gave the Yellows the lead after four minutes when he latched onto a through-ball before firing a powerful shot past Didcot keeper Alex Williams.

Williams was then fortunate to stay on the pitch when he brought down Richards outside the box after 25 minutes, but received only a yellow card for the foul.

Tiverton never really got control of the game after that though and looked tired from their 4-3 win over Witheridge in the Devon St Luke's Bowl on Thursday night.

However, they did create the best scoring chance of the second half as Josh Searle and John Heveran combined to set up Sam Malsom who fired a shot against the inside of the post.

Match reaction from manager John Clarkson to follow.
